Not misinformed. I just saw the email that Paul Smith from GCO sent her at 9pm tonight saying no. He then cited a portion that says
"provided by paragraph (5) of this subsection; provided, however, that this exception shall not apply to a student attending such a school".
It was the first I...
A friend of mine emailed GCO asking if this legislation will allow students to carry after July 1st.
Paul Smith (GCO Information Coordinator) emailed her back and told her that it will NOT allow students to carry on campus.
Back to practicing my fetal position.

Preciate the feedback. Was just having fun with the idea.
If I do go down there I'm not going there to kiss ass and dance around it. The facts are I was designated driving, that is why I was there, and I do not believe I turned right on red. Period. Like you said they do this for a living and...
Yeah really haha. Not their fault. That's on me, even though I feel like I didn't break any traffic law when I made the turn. Had just dropped them (family friends) at the fish market on Pharr and was looking for a place to pull off and eat at while I waited.
I did. And the un-helpful lady simply told me that she can't tell me anything until my citation is in the system. Which can take up to 14 business days...
That is what I will have to decide, whenever I can get a quote on my fine amount.
My only concern is if there will be any "court costs" to fight the ticket. A few posts that I read about for the same charge discussed that they had to pay court costs when they disputed their ticket.
It is posted. The issue is that I still had the green arrow to turn right when I was approaching the intersection from about 10-15 yards out. He claims that I turned right on red. So he either thinks I didn't make it through the turn before the light changed to yellow and then red, or he did not...
That makes sense.
From what I have found in that code section, it states a fine no more than $70. But I couldn't tell if that was only for red light cameras. Some google searches came back with people saying their fines were up to $200. I would have to think a "right hand turn on red" fine...
Considering the angle that the officer was parked at when I saw him go back to the gas station and watch the light, I don't believe that he would have any video footage from the dash cam.
Once he wrote me the ticket and told me my court date I explained to him I had several criminal justice...
