  1. Biden voters keep your money

I'll agree that the 2A isnt going to be repealed but I dont like the idea of restrictions or an assault weapons ban. You don't think they can get that through now? Asking serious. I don't know how the votes in congress would fall on that now.
  2. Biden voters keep your money

No idea. I look at the current reality and try to figure out the best path forward. The 2A is in trouble. I'm all for working with anyone that wants to keep it.
  3. Biden voters keep your money

The number of people that vote Democrat but still want their 2A rights is not insignificant. Red/Purple state democrats in Congress will be helping hold the line against new regulations. Now is the time to work on the common ground we have, not divide further.
  4. to protest education reforms, kids walk out

No, the fear is that the curriculum is going to promote patriotism by sugar coating some events. The review board that is setup sounds like a propaganda board. Good for those kids. :thumb:
  5. Solar Flare almost caused an "EMP"!!

There has been some discussion about the issue in government but the problem is that it's a huge problem in a list of other huge problems. Do we try to protect our electric infrastructure or do we figure out how to clone Bruce Willis before he gets too old to save us from a Texas sized...
  6. WMD in iraq?

The article says it's an outdated facility with some materials that are pretty much unusable. Meh.
  7. Gainesville, GA Passed Long range Gun's in schools

I think it's fine. Sure, it'd be better if the rife was on site all the time and more people had access to it. This is better than not having it at all though.
  8. Unbelievable!

Words like "unconstitutional" have been seen more and more in the media ever since this administration started abusing the 1st and 4th Amendments. CNN did another story a while back with Hog Swat (ODT member). It covered the AR and how it's a tool. It wasn't really pro-2A but not a bad...
  9. Vehicle ownership costs depend on more than gas prices

Right. That why it'd be just for the wife driving to work. She's insured ;) LOL
  10. Vehicle ownership costs depend on more than gas prices

I think I spend way more than $4k on my vehicle (including gas) each year. My wife has an SUV because we need it to haul the kids (she won't drive a minivan). We did the math and we could buy a small used stick shift for her to drive to work and have it paid for in a year with what we'd save...
  11. california county wishing to succeed

It might not be a bad idea to redraw state lines like districts get redrawn inside states. Could you imagine the government clustermuck that would result though? Not going to happen, lol. If one state like California does this, then Colorado, Illinois, and New York would want to follow.
  12. Gainesville GA talks about guns rifles in school

I took it as the officer would probably be in the office doing paperwork. Pretty wild assumption, but if that's the case a safe with some more firepower would make sense. Your idea would be ideal though.
  13. Gainesville GA talks about guns rifles in school

The police make a request and the school is finally going to vote on it 6 months later. AAAAHHH!!!! Nice that they are referred to as rifles and not assault weapons though. I guess they're different when the police are holding them. :)
  14. NYC's Stop and Frisk laws deemed unconstitutional

http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Demographics_of_New_York_City I think that they were profiling based on crime percentages. If young black males were arrested for 50% of crimes, they were supposed to account for 50% of stops. The problem is that they are only 25% of the population and it's not...
  15. NYC's Stop and Frisk laws deemed unconstitutional

There again, the soda size ban wasn't shot down. It was how they did it that was shot down. The judge there just said that it has to be passed as a law. They are small victories since they are reigning in executive power. They are losses since they weren't struck down as constitutional...
  16. NYC's Stop and Frisk laws deemed unconstitutional

Looks to me that the judge didn't say the stops are unconstitutional. They're just being conducted unconstitutionally. It's not the stop and frisk that is so terrible, it's that they're targeting minorities. So... they appointed a monitor. My guess is that the practice will basically...
  17. 2 year old shot at Stone Mountain Kroger today

Gotta say, if I had my kids with me and I wasn't armed, I would have definitely second guessed whether or not to get involved. I commend that Dad for stepping in, just not sure I would have done it. This is a prime example of why an armed public is needed. You can't make enough laws to keep...
  18. Woodstock K9 dead, After being left in car. Not cool.

Well, crap, apparently I can't read. What a douche (the officer).
  19. Woodstock K9 dead, After being left in car. Not cool.

Definitely not good but lets wait to hear all the details. The report said the dog was left in the car while the officer was investigating an incident. For all we know he was dealing with a family that just got beat up by a drunk dad. Yeah, he should have checked on the dog, got someone to...
  20. Illinois carry for those who care

I've been following it some. I have family in IL and it's possible I might wind up there. It's pretty crazy. If they focused half the energy they spend on gun control to some of their other issues, it might be a decent place to live.
