I'm sorry to hear about all of this, I hope you and your family are able to find peace and comfort. If there's anything you need from me, just let me know...

I had no idea. I'm very sorry to hear this and I will definitely pray as well for you both!

You're absolutely right. I try my best and I've surprised myself at how much I can interpret. It's a tough fight when--not trying to air dirty laundry--my dad doesn't take an active interest in helping.

My SIL got ahold of someone who said they can go, but they're not available this week or the next. Hopefully I can find someone who is available sooner than that.

Thanks so much man. This thread has given me avenues to pursue and has helped me clear my head and get a grasp on things. It's helped me slow down, think, read and focus, if that makes sense.

Thank you very much for the thought and for trying! I think there's a Centerville up north also...I'm at the one south of Macon. Dangit.

Oh man. I appreciate the offer but I would never ask someone to contact their ex! Lol!

Thanks man! I want to slip one of the CNAs that was up there today some money. She drives a long way and has 3 kids. She told me she ate lunch with my mom today bc she felt like my mom was more inclined to eat when she had company. I wanted to give her a giant hug when she told us that, I...

I hate that you understand this from personal experience. We are going through the same thing, my mom is down to 78 pounds. They want to put in a feeding tube but she ripped out 2 IV's at the hospital so we know that's not an option. It IS terrible just like you say. I wanted to really show...

I know a few married to other Orientals but no Japanese. But I do need to start networking. It's crazy how obvious these suggestions are but when I've been thinking about it, I've drawn blanks. But I do have a lot on my plate at the moment. Many thanks to everyone in the thread!

Thank you all. We left there a little while ago, it's very frustrating. They have been telling me they'll get someone to cut her toenails, my wife left and bought a large bowl and clippers so we could scrub her feet and cut her nails ourselves. They gave us attitude about it and told us they...

When she was in the hospital for a week prior to getting into a home, they were using Google translate. The current nursing home has someone who speaks only Russian and no one can translate for her.
  17. Japanese translator needed on the weekend, Macon Ga

Good idea! I think everything around me is kinda of fusion even though they're marketed as Japanese...but I bet I could ask around and find somebody that way.
  18. Japanese translator needed on the weekend, Macon Ga

I didn't know that existed. Thank you very much for the link, I will contact them and see what they say.
