    Only if the cost to repair it would be more than a certain % of car's value. That could be a $200-500 repair depending on what is bent and who does the work. If the car is only worth $800, maybe they would total it, but your deductible is probably more than what the repair would cost.

    If she hit the curb that hard, it may have bent something in the front suspension. A control arm, tie rod, strut. I bent a control arm the exact same way when I was 16 and no amount of alignment could fix it. Take it to a competent mechanic. P.S. "It curves to the left" - that's what she said.
