No. Benchmade told me it was theirs and I literally just got it back from them sharpened. Problem is I called and the customer service person cant tell me the model. I bought it back in college from a sporting goods store, just dont have the box to know the model. Mainly need a clip for it.
I have had this Benchmade for many many years. Just sent it off to them to have the blade sharpened and had asked them to put a new belt clip on it. They could not replace the belt clip so I need to find one.

Dont know how all of this turned out for you OP. But, if you mailed the knife and have in writing the agreement, you may be able to get the post office involved for mail fraud. Just a thought and something to maybe look into .
