If it helps you plan we will be at the Georgia Bushcraft Festival but we will NOT be selling...as we NEVER sell direct to consumer. However I will have some of our blades there for you to demo if you like.
Found these in some old photos. The knife on top was a very EARLY production model given to one of our guides down in the Amazon. We gave him a new one about 10 years later in trade for his original back.
Another photo from the archive and an early prototype down in the Amazon.
The CR2.5 my most carried ESEE...usually in a pocket carry sheath from Jou Fuu Leather... I rarely have a need for a large knife, but I also have Patrick Rollins around very often.
While I hate to hear that it's taken this long at least you are back to $0 on the money that you are out of....some people take stance on a bad decision and dig in out of stubbornness...just better and easier to admit you are wrong, take your lumps, and make it right....
if he sends a knife...
my Bladeshow score
Chris Reeves Large Inkosi Insingo Blade
This was my first BLADE show, I've always had a conflict with my schedule previously....glad it worked out this time.
While I've heard about the tolerances of Chris Reeve's knives before.....I get it now. Im pleased and plan on using it!
It' isn't some super custom....but it is my first Chris Reeves...
Large Inkosi with the Insingo Blade....I see why these knives have garnered a reputation for production excellence.
I bought a new Large Inkosi there....Found a rare moment when their booth wasn't 3 deep....so I bought it without batting an eye....I saw guys handling knives and I saw people standing near the booth and and buying online...
My guess is that they bring what is easy for them to ship and manage...
Scott makes great stuff and is good people...working heirlooms you can beat the crap out of and still hand down to your kids....when my sons were smaller I had him make a pair of his 3 finger skinners.....later, when they were older I had him make a Raghorn Hunter for each and presented them to...
Bear in mind ESEE Knives have a lifetime, transferrable, No questions asked warranty....should you break a knife, doing anything, send them the broken knife and you get another one just like it....
Great show....talk about putting people under some pressure!!
I was imagining if they did a similar show with gunsmiths.....they'd never get Episode 1 filmed!! I've yet to meet a gunsmith that meets a deadline!!
Here are a few actions shots from my Dec 2015 Field Survival course with my LS...if you haven't had the opportunity to take a class from the folks at Randalls Adventure Training/ESEE I high recommend it! Great instruction and people over there in Gallant Alabama!
.
It's been a little while and I am still loving this BLADE! Very impressed with his work and attention to detail. Not to mention that he was easy to get in contact with on FB and actually responded to messages!
I have one of his knives...the guy is a craftsman and super nice. Great to deal with and his blades are exceptional....I call mine a Kepmuk....kind of a cross between and Kephart and Nessmuk blade...couldn't be happier with it!
Here are a few threads where you can see it put to use a little...
