My weekend plans have changed so I will be coming to the m&g. I'll donate to the prizes, free barrel threading for a Savage or Remington 700 or $100 off a barrel chamber and install.
Count me in!
I will be able to bring a couple lightweight Titanium TR-Precision suppressors to loan out. They can be configured in 1/2x28 or 5/8x24 direct thread, Griffin taper mount or Si-co Specwar / ASR.
Using a good optic with mil or moa hash marks makes a big difference over using a duplex reticle. I can always get the hash marks to touch the edges of the circle top, bottom, left and right and I am dead center.
What kind of rifles are we working with here?
Do you hand load?
Have you optimized a load for the rifles?
Just an example, I have a pretty basic heavy barrel .308 target F-class rifle that will shoot 1/3 - 1/2 min out to 600 with an optimized well matched hand load. It won't hit 1.5moa...
I will be there again. I don't plan on bringing the big arsenal I brought last time as I plan to work on some loads for the big Riverbend high power match the following weekend. Mainly plan to focus on fine tuning my 2 "Midrange Tactical AR" match rifles.
I do plan on bringing my Savage 338...
This is correct per my previous visits, I have been at least once per month since the opened.
However to shoot electronic pistol range 3 you need to qualify 1st.
from the CMP site...
Due to the LED lights on the front of these target frames a qualification process is required before shooting on...
I mainly load for a faster twist, but can do up a small batch of 52g Nosler custom comps that will do 300y no problem. I can do a 62g that should get 600 and a 69g that will really work the 600 if the barrel can stabilize it. You have a .223 chamber or .556? I will be able to go a little...
What barrel length, chamber and twist rifle, and what distance do you plan to shoot? I can load up a batch for you, just need to know what i'm loading for.
