If the next match comes around and you are not ready, feel free to share my rifle. It's zeroed and ready to go. One guy brought 3 rifles to share for folks...they were REALLY nice as well and one guy came in 3rd with a borrowed rifle/can. He supplied ammo, that was it.
That way you can join in...
Man, I think about 80% of folks were using Strelok PRO. I know quite a few had never shot last 100-200 yards and the app got them hits on the further targets. Hell, I had dope out to 600 yards from the CMP range, but ended up using the app instead...lol
My zero was "ok", but my 51T mount and SDN6 suck nuts. I loath their mounts for precision guns, but my DT can didn't get approved in time. Have 2 cans on F4 for over a years now.....stupid BATFE and NFA crap wait times.....
Lol....same here. My optic had something funky going on. 675 hits, no problem, 770....impacts were way off and all over. Didn't have enough time to stay and find the root cause, but oh well. Maybe next time. :-(
Yeah man, you did pretty well considering you had to hand feed rounds half of alot of those stages.
My score was 27/72. Not fantastic, but really didn't expect to have anything near 50% my first time. If you are ever around the Cartersville area and want to go shoot, let me know. Maybe we can...
Yes, thank you @REDX ! Had a blast, pun intended.
I personally learned ALOT, especially how much suck I have to improve upon for these type matches. If/when Thomas does another one, GO, well worth it. Everyone there was super nice and helpful!!! Don't be hesitant, it can only make you a better...
Anyone else bringing a musket length rifle Saturday? lol
I have since added a scope level to it. Also, it's HEAVY as hell to be running around with, especially with the can, kind of like holding a piece of I-beam. lol
My 18" AR for comparison in length
@REDX I see some guys literally strapping these type bags to their rifles.
What type of bags to you recommend or do you just throw your rifle up on the barriers?
Lastly, how important is it to have a rifle/scope level at this event? I guess it wouldn't hurt, but do you use one?
Are their any key differences that favor each app? Strelok seems to be the most popular I have seen. I am shooting an RPR in 6.5 with a cheap Crossfire II optic.
