I'm still a .40 fan.
But the 357 sig is totally awesome! Here on the ODT I traded and got my wife a XD 357sig about 2 ish years ago.
she loves it. We had a hard time trying to find something she felt comfortable with, and grouped well with. Truth is I grab it first when predators get into the...
Thanks, I agree that in this cal I would be best to suite the round to intended use.
Currently I just have 180 hydra shok.
I soon hope to make a run to Ga arms in Villa Rica to look at some 180gr soft nose, and possibly 165 Gold dots.
I have traded into a Gen 3 Glock 20.
I'll be keeping it for protection, come deer season I plan to use it for deer and hogs.
I'm looking for ammo advice for not only protection but hunting.
I'm a fan of Gold dots and Winchester silver tip hp's
Thanks, It's had a trigger job done on it already
I m just using the fmj for targets and its cheap. I ll likely not have occasion to use it past 200-250 yds.
The idea is later this year to put a better scope on it. It's mainly just a critter-getter and truck rifle for now.
I m thinking of...
I acquired a Remington 700 sps .223rem today with a Simmons 3-9x40 scope and a 24" barrel.
It took some work but at 50 yds I m hitting about an inch high.
I m using American Eagle .223 .55gr fmj.
My goal is a truck gun for hogs, yotes, dillos, etc
I m looking for advice on the zero range and...
I got my wife a Springfield XD in .357 sig. She loves it and shoots it with no problems, whereas she is off and complains of the kick with my other calibers. It is expensive, so I'm glad she's not into shooting like I am. Sharper noise, but a great, hot round.
S&W 44 mag 6in
S&W 357 mag 4 in
Glock 23 .40
soft point in the revolvers up to 60 yds.
hollow point in the 23 lucky shot 30 yds.
Personally I like either the 44mag or 357 mag best. Any handgun will do the job its all about shot placement.
King Tuk and a G27, or Blackhawk or a clip draw and a G23.
Pancake and full size 1911-A1 with the clip draw, King Tuk, and pancake you wouldn't know I was packing. I too am 5'11 and 160
I m fond of a mix of Win ranger slugs, federal rem, of win, 00buck in 3in (more of the 36 cal pellets) And personally in a HD shotgun turkey load.
High power and plenty of payload to boot especially like copper plated pellets. It is very true that up close you must aim with the shotgun.
