  1. Ok I'm OK I guess. I have been ammo shamed. LOL

That stash of pellets on the top shelf qualifies as an “arsenal” all on its own
  2. Talladega CMP Range

1000 would be awesome. I only spent about 20min at the UKD range with the Garand, just to say I tried. It’s really set up for scoped rifles, target of varied sizes, most blend in with the background. I’d like to take my .308 next time and spend some more time there. There was another guy up...
  3. Talladega CMP Range

Unknown distance range is about 620 yards, it does not stretch to 1000. It will test your skills for sure, especially with an open sight Garand :). https://thecmp.org/new-unknown-distance-range-youth-events-fill-talladega-marksmanship-park-in-2021/ My suggestion is that you don’t want to...
  4. What is the “new” retail, non-scalper price of .223 when the dust settles?

AO was over $1.00/ round when I was in there about a month ago. That was for 55gr American Eagle stuff
  5. Oldest firearm you own?

M1 Garand from 1943. It’s a Springfield receiver. Of course it has been re-barreled and has a CMP stock
  6. Remington 870 Police Wingmaster BattleWorn NiB

Projects are hard to turn down but my problem usually becomes having too many projects and not enough time to dedicate to them.
  7. Remington 870 Police Wingmaster BattleWorn NiB

that looks really good. Are you going to get both the Wingmasters currently listed or just the “rough” one?
  8. Which grips you prefer M17 & X carry

I have also switched from the X-Carry grip to the WC.
  9. Remington 870 Police Wingmaster BattleWorn NiB

@cmshoot, that’s a nice shotgun build. I’ll go against the group here and say the old blond wood will look good with the battle worn finish. I have an old Wingmaster that was my Dad’s patrol shotgun. I keep thinking I should refinish it and the wood furniture, but that gun has stories...
  10. Lookee what followed me home - STI Staccato-P 9mm

Very nice. I’ve been eyeballing a STI Duty in .40SW at a local shop. I’ve had a hard time trying to justify another handgun in the collection.
  11. Non-Tactical Guns?

Nice one, mine has the the 2.5” barrel.
  12. Non-Tactical Guns?

After noticing I had managed to accumulate 12 striker fired pistols, along with a few DA/SA, I started to pay attention to Smith revolvers. I inherited a 28-2 that had been a Texas Department of Public Safety gun a couple of years ago and that really got the ball rolling on my new found...
  13. Ever dealt with “Wise Guys” gun store near Atlanta?

Maybe some internet vendors didn’t do business over the holiday weekend? Although I would think a good one would post that information on their website and then get back to a potential customer before COB on the first day back. Amazon has screwed things up for the little guy with their click...
  14. H&R RIFLE

I had an H&R in .223, it had an extractor. Mine didn’t always work great though. Had to run a rod down it to punch out the fired case a few times.
  15. Unwelcomed Suprise at Adventure Outdoors

OP should have found the same gun with a blue “used” tag. The 3% only applies to “new” firearms. It is clearly stated on the stupid form they have you initial when you fill out the 4473. Now I agree that the 3% thing is kind BS, but as someone who spent 10 years in a mom and pop type of...
  16. Leather holster for a four inch model 29?

Any price point you want to stay in? I’ve always admired the work El Paso Saddlery turns out. I plan on ordering “The Austin” for my 28-2 this summer. https://epsaddlery.com/product/1930-austin-holster/
  17. S&W 360J

I picked one up from Cherokee Gun & Pawn a few weeks ago. I like the longer j frame grip on it and I like that the front sight can be changed out. It supposedly has a lanyard loop under the grip but I haven’t had time to look for myself. Downside is it has the roughest trigger I have ever...
  18. VP 9 Tactical shooting low, sugestions

I like the paddle mag release on the VP9. The slide stop lever in in a bad spot for me when using a thumbs forward grip. It’s pretty easy to ride it which obviously keeps it from locking the slide open after the last round.
  19. Cerakote and Head Down products question

Not sure how close they are to you, but check out GAFiringLine. They seem to turn out some nice work.
  20. Sig 229 IWB

Blackpoint Leatherwing with IWB clips instead of belt loops
