Get a S&W 43c in 22lr. Out of a short barrel the 22lr does almost as well as a 22mag. Out of a short barrel 22lr will dump more of its energy. 22mag will have a tendency to over penetrate. Plus 22lr is much cheaper. I have a 442 smith and Wesson and love it. Cool back up gun too. 8 rounds...
That’s the way I’m leaning. Not sure why they even put the front sight post in the rail. Strike Industry has some cool stuff, but some is a bit out there and unneeded.
I found this which would be a good solution. I don’t think these ever made it into production. A built in front and rear sight would be awesome for a pdw. Waiting to hear back from Anderson Mnf(poverty pony express).
I agree. I just hate that Strike Industries made the Gridlock with an intergrated folding front sight but you can’t but a rear reciever with a built in rear sight. Having a quality rear buis and a questionable front buis bothers me. I like my stuff to match. It kinda defeats the purpose of...
So I picked up the Strike Industry Gridlock Light 8” AR-15 rail. It comes with an intergrated front buis on the rail. If I’m running a Primary Arms 1x prism optic could I forego putting on a rear buis? The sight picture through the optic would provide a very rudimentary sight picture for...
Whatcha guys think? Remove this police stamping mark or keep it. Would it improve or decrease the value of the revolver? The stamping is really well done. I’m tempted to keep it on it just for the cool factor that it was used as a duty gun for a police dept at one time. Also does anyone...
It destroys the resale value on high end firearms or optics. If it’s a cheap gun you could get away with it. Hell it might even be an upgrade if the finish was really messed up. I wouldn’t even buy a DD if it had a rattle can job unless I was desperate. The value is destroyed.
They are wood.
thanks guys. I think they are Altamont from a 686. Maybe a limited run due to the logo. Pretty nice bonus to my purchase. Hopefully the gun shoots as pretty as it looks.
So I just bought this k frame revolver. Can anyone help me figure out what these smith and Wesson grips came from? I’m guessing that they came from a performance k frame. Also any idea of value?
The older ones had a weird thread pitch and the barrels won’t work due to some small difference. I got an older one cheap and had the barrel rethreaded.
I’m refinishing a colt jr 25acp. Does anyone know if the internal parts are stainless or nickel plated? Looking to polish the stainless and nickel plated parts. Going to blue the rest. Any advice would be helpful. Thanks!
