No. Picture a straight line up and down with a circle at the top and a circle at the bottom. If the line isn't straight up and down, the circle are moving away from each other left to right. If it's bad off, this will also throw your elevation way off as well.
It helps you keep the gun vertical because if the bore and the crosshairs aren't perpendicular then your windage will be off on the shot.

In its current config, the only work done by Pedro is removing the firing pin block under the rear sight. I did the MSG, bring the beavertail to fit the hand, trigger, slide rails, and everything else.
