If its AR, then 18". Still would prefer my 16" 7.62x39 Vepr or Vepr Super in 308 (depends if environment is open field or in town/forest)
In scenario other than in car or pull from closet, longer barrel always better for me (fact that I am 6.4" does sway my opinion)
Will do!!!! Will take some time though, as busy now and then plan to be out of country. Was hoping some good deal for black Friday/cyber Monday, but nothing special
Not really understanding whats the problem with length. So rifle buffer is about 9". I was running mount for the pistol I had which was 8.5" and was bit to short (still usable). Carbine buffer is 7" give or take and that was just too short (unusable) with tailhook mod1.
Tailhooks do not add any...
That's the thing, really don't like collapsible stocks. A2, Magpul PRS or Moe Rifle I feel are way more solid.
Also what's point of adjustable stock if I am using it at fixed length anyways.
And it's cheaper than adding H2 buffer to carbine, and far cheaper than proprietary A5
As far as...
This is what i have. It's one you mount A2 stock on (can't put A2 or Magpul PRS on carbine buffer tube)

It's smoother shooting than carbine buffer
Again I am no expert in this, but if say comparing 150 grain bullets I highly doubt 12.5 308 will have much if any velocity benefit over 300 (especially 16" barrel) There are some ballistic charts on internet I will try look into it
Realistically, after comparing velocity charts, that short barrel you basically turn it into 300 blackout with lots of muzzle flash and concussion. 14-16 308 don't got much vs hot 7.62x39. For 308 at lest 18-20" barrel needed to make it significant power increase. Also don't forget the larger...
Short story--- I had 10.5 build with tailhood Mod1 in 5.56 and Vortex red dot. Loved that gun, very light, maneuverable. I would toss it in the car if I went out of town or state. Then comes the brace ban (let's go brandon). ---- I take it apart, and turn it into 18" with rifle stock. Came out...
I know for a fact you can use birdshot like that. Just was wondering if round ball with patch might create more resistance, thus spike pressure and cause kaboom. I can get inline for 100$ on this forum, but that's not the point ---- trying to see peak versatility.
I mean just thinking in...
Hi, so I wanna ask some knowledgeable people if they done it and it works.
I picked a 12 gauge H&R single shot, and think about using it as muzzleloader for fun. Cut plastic off the 12 gauge shell, prime it, and load, then put BP into the muzzle, say 80-100 grains (I plan to use real BP---no...
I feel like 13.9 is giving up some to 14.5 when it comes to pin/weld. As far as sbr, 10.5 was very compact for me with 7" handguard-- anything shorter is just pointless for me but I am 6.4". Last build was 18" with rifle gas, to maximize velocity-- anything above that you should probably look...
