Hello and happy Thanksgiving!
Are any of you familiar with https://truegunvalue.com/?
They seem to have a pretty good read on gun values. As you all know, prices are schizophrenic of late.
Of course, the old axiom is always applicable.......
"its worth what someone will pay for it"
Would enjoy...
I have recently jumped into the AK platform rifle. One of most useful tools for me as a newbie was Rob Ski and his outstanding AK owners union. Absolutely excellent YouTube channel with tons of useful and HONEST information and reviews. I settled on a MAK-90 for my first AK rifle, and I am very...
The thing about this that impresses me the most is that they are so open about it. Just bring your gun, you don't have to prove you are the original owner or any of that crap, just bring it, WE WILL FIX IT! To me, that speaks volumes about the quality of their product.
A friend recently came into a G20 10 mm. It had some problems......failure to feed and no trigger reset. I'd heard that you could take your Glock to Smyrna to get it looked at, so we loaded up Friday and headed up to Smyrna.
It was quite an experience!
Beautiful facility……and HUGE!! They...
We went to Glock Friday. I am blown away by the experience!
Beautiful facility……and HUGE!! They checked us in at the guard shack, secured our weapons, and sent us down to the armorers building. We were met by a Glock armorer who filled out paperwork on each gun (I took my G19 and my G43 for a...
We were supposed to go today, now looks like Friday.
Life! Gets in the way sometimes!
The only gun I've ever modified from stock was my Norinko 1911. Had the trigger worked on a bit to smooth it out, tighten it up, and lighted the pull. It was a totally positive thing and the gun shot much...
If my friends gun has been modified, he is not aware of it. I was kind of thinking the same thing about the reset, but if it IS a stock gun, it doesn't make sense. Not sure about the feed problem........there were a few times when the slide did not go all the way back. The ammo was factory...
I have a friend that recently came into a Glock 20 10mm.
It has problems.
The slide cycles back....and stays back! The next round will not feed. It doesn't happen all the time, but it does happen more often than not.
Problem #2 is trigger reset.
It doesn't.
If you pull the trigger all the way...
.45 round is a one shot man stopper (provided you are a decent center-of-mass shooter). In an extremeis situation, IF you are a decent shooter, 7 or 8 rounds of defensive load .45ACP should be plenty to get you out of the pickle. That is why I like .45. In my home, I have a Mossberg 500 loaded...
...." Picked up a few FDE P-mags for my AR (at a really good price!) while I was there.".......
I think that goes without saying. When I saw FDE P-mags at that price, I would be stupid NOT to buy a few!
When you have good people offering awesome service and awesome prices AND offering to do...
I wanted to take this opportunity to sing the praises of an exceptional company that the ODT community should consider as their FIRST choice in any gun related purchase.
I bought a S&W MP15-22 for my son and had it delivered to Fourth Armory. These fine people offer FREE FFL transfer services...
I am contemplating a deal for a Russian VEPR AK-47 in 7.62x39. I've only seen pictures, but it appears to be in excellent condition. Will come with 2-30 rd, one 40 rd, and a 75 rd drum magazines.
My research so far indicates to me that these are considered to be among the very best AK's...
I had NO IDEA when I started this this morning that it would go this far!!
Many good opinions on both sides......good common sense stuff. The thing that pretty much drives it for me is that I've made a deal with a fellow ODT'er. As I stated in my original post, this is a group of people that...
