  1. Another Interesting Springfield 1903

Let us know how well it shoots.
  2. Winchester 97

It was the 1893, the predecessor and reason for the 1897's introduction. Winchester requested customers to return the 93 for a new 97. All Winchester were short chambered until 27 or 28. If you buy one have it checked or have a competent Smith recut the chamber 2-3/4" shells. Until then find...
  3. Smith K trame Round butt 10-5 "c" colorized

I found what I was looking for. This is what someone probably used to fill the logo and lettering. No longer available from Brownell's but can be had from Foster's. https://www.forsterproducts.com/product-category/gunsmithing/inlay-filling/
  4. Smith K trame Round butt 10-5 "c" colorized

Not factory coloring of the stampings. You could, and maybe still can buy a "Gold Fill" kit from Brownell's. I used the gold kit on a nice Remington1100 trap and my Browning O/U Trap. If the base is cleaned well it looks good in the right situation. I did a quick check and couldn't find it...

It finally arrived Colt Slide and 1944 Colt frame. My certificate was dated Dec 6. Oh why couldn't they wait just one more day? It would have been epic to have had my Certificate dated December 7th. I'm very happy with it. Barrel and mag are new production so the quest is on the proper 1944...

I received my call yesterday and took the Service Grade. What's an extra 100 bucks amongst friends? Called my FFL who sent the FFL copy the same. Then this morning around 11:30 I received a text that my credit card took a BIG HIT from CMP. Now I can't wait to see what they send. It's true...

I'm crying for you, 41 AE, Oh what it could have been.
  15. What's the best thing you've found at a Pawn Shop?

The sign on the door that says closed. That always makes the boss happy by keeping me from spending money. I found a Gary Reeder revolver in Mr. Pawn. Chris (God rest his soul) foolishly let me leave without buying it. He did one other time when there was a actual MINT S&W 1000M on the rack for...
  16. CMP 1911 Lottery Round 3

I'm in the 3rd round and have my random generated number. CMP phone numbers loaded into "My Contacts". At first I thought the prices were hi, until I researched what others are selling theirs for on line. Current retail asking and selling prices are double the 3rd round asking prices. So yes...
