    I got about 30-40# of scuppernongs and muscadines picked and ready to roll. I got three and a half jars of jelly made from the first batch, It barely even knocked a dent in the barrel full that I picked. I’ll probably end up with 16-18 jars of jelly at this rate.

    Mine has been gone for almost 4 years Brother, a big piece of my heart went with her. My Grandmother has been gone for several more. When I tried this newest batch of jelly it made me get all choked up. It tasted just like the stuff my Grandmother used to make......My goal was achieved.

    I was at work the other day and walked outside for a short break. The smell of muscadines caught my attention. Low and behold there was a vine full of them and the ground was covered in them as well. In 30 minutes I had picked enough to make that batch of jelly.

    Made two jars of muscadine this evening. I used the recipe that includes pectin. It begins to congeal much faster with the pectin added. The recipe makes two, 16oz jars. .
