    Please don’t take my post the wrong way. You literally asked, “how do you all handle this?” My answer was: Keep moving. There’s nothing else you can do about it, per the rules. Yes, I agree with you. People shouldn’t say “I’ll take it!” without meaning it, but unfortunately, it happens.

    Tomato, to-mato. I wouldn’t get so worked up. It’s just semantics and/or a lack of knowledge. Frustrating, yes, but who really cares. Some people are stupid.

    1) make sure all communication goes through ODT PM (mods won’t enforce communication through phone or text) 2) have him meet close to you at a location of your choosing 3) Use common sense. If he can’t form coherent sentences, is bad at communicating, etc. then I would steer clear.

    I'm all for the personal liberty to do as one pleases. That's just too much, though, and I wouldn't be buying from him. One could argue that the buyer is putting himself at privacy/safety risk because of the seller's demands.

    The quality of ODT and its userbase seems to have severely degraded since early 2020. I'm not sure why, but I have noticed as well and made several of my own rant type posts. Lots of low-quality newcomers.
