Ive seen a few flipped around , I don't know about over and over but before I offer or buy on here Ill tell yall a trick. I usually do a search of the same gun , then i will look at feedback dates of the seller and go back thru the last several threads started by the person that left said...
  2. may take a break from the gun trading seems it isnt what it was.

very true and interesting. I don't mind it myself but Its one of those things we almost need to control and police ourselves or one whack job buys a gun and boom all hell breaks loose lol. Sucks that is how it is and its such a slippery slope, we give in to more gun control they will take a...
  3. may take a break from the gun trading seems it isnt what it was.

All that said I like being able to sell and trade Im just being the devils advocate here with this topic bought up by another member. That angle was not intended by this post but it got there so now we are discussing it lol.
  4. may take a break from the gun trading seems it isnt what it was.

I agree with most all of what you posted and I'm not calling every person that jacks up price a criminal. Im just saying I have seen in ads on here no background check needed or when people are discussing price etc that has been one of their selling points. Now logically there are two reasons...

^^^This is exactly what a forum is for correct???? I mean basically this is our round table to sit around and gang bang a pot of coffee and chew the fat. I understand the rules and got two infractions in 3 years not like I was going around bashing prices , I believe one post I said something...
  6. may take a break from the gun trading seems it isnt what it was.

yah i believe the new ones are about 429 or so. I just bought a rep stamped cowboy blued 45-70 but it was a limited edition with 18.5 in octogon barrel and 6 in the tube. In short its a cross between a guide gun and a cowboy. I had to pay a pretty penny for it 712 dollars lol but new they going...
  7. may take a break from the gun trading seems it isnt what it was.

Id go as high as 350-375 for a really really nice one in todays market if i wanted it but that is beyond fair imo .but heck 3 or 4 years ago they where 275 for the same gun lol. We had this discussion on the Marlin forum the other day and there are still alot of JM thumpers out there. That said...
  8. may take a break from the gun trading seems it isnt what it was.

this took a turn I didn't see lol. That said some interesting post here and food for thought. I have received two infractions along the way for saying someones item is overpriced. I mean if i see a marlin 3030 for 600 bucks with a simmons scope i may call you stupid... should i get an infraction...
  9. may take a break from the gun trading seems it isnt what it was.

Only thing i have ever had to relist more than maybe two times is if i changed my mind or was a high end item, sako i believe i relisted a few times. Usually i list within 25 bucks of what i got it for and as long as i come close to what i paid up or down and the trade makes me happy ill do it...

  11. may take a break from the gun trading seems it isnt what it was.

I will say don't know if the member knew or not about the problem but he offered his help and money back if I couldn't get it fixed. I didn't want to resell on the forum so i took to a local gunstore took a hit on it traded toward something else and Im happy but hey they can fix it etc where i...
  12. may take a break from the gun trading seems it isnt what it was.

Heck seems as of late the site isn't what is was 3 years ago when i did my first deal here. Used to be had a few flippers and everyone else liked to trade and if they got something for 300 bucks they may ask 320 to cover gas. Lately I see more and more guys gobble up a good deal and literally...
