I look at it like this, I've wasted 2.185 seconds of my life reading their ridiculous low ball offer, why waste another 3.575 seconds typing a reply and hitting send?
I have a bill of sale filled out for every gun I've ever sold. There were all sold to a Mr. Seymour Butts, who lives at 1313 Mockingbird Lane Bonaire, Georgia.
There is no index or filing system that allows a "search" of 4473s for firearms that did not ship to the dealer from a distributor or manufacturer. If there was, they'd never admit it while it's still "illegal" for such a system to exist.
The new electronic 4473s will make it possible though...
4473s for second hand firearms are NEARLY COMPLETELY useless if they DIDN'T come through a distributor (i.e., Century Arms or other importer) in regards to "tracing firearms purchases."
They are of limited utility in tracing purchases of "new" guns too. Complete waste of time and resources.
