    Question regarding your strategy of acquiring land via IRA. After years of appreciation how would one take RMDs? I suppose you could sell it at some point and leave the proceeds in the IRA. Then take your annual RMDs. Trying to avoid any IRS penalty for failing to take RMD.

    Good advice. But not everyone is in the same situation of a single CD to keep after. Fast forward into your 90s and keep up with your laddered CDs. You’re constantly moving them around chasing better rates and then ask yourself where your CDs are on any given day.

    To be fair, I’m looking beyond our borders and favoring an ETF vs. any one company’s stock. For example, I believe Canada has legalized both recreational and medicinal use. I expect volatility and may lose. It’s definitely not for everyone.
