Yeah...sounds good.
I will see that chili, and raise you grilled pork chops, baked mac & cheese, fried okra & black-eyed peas...followed by Grandma's chocolate marble cake! Needless to say...I am stuffed and will be thoroughly worthless for the remainder of the evening...
I will say this: While I don't have a bore scope...using the old bore light trick, the barrel on this gun is clean, smooth and shiny after the initial cleaning. I know...that means little since you can't really see the tooling marks using this inspection method. At least I know I got all the...
Please don't take this as me picking a fight...or making light of your professional practice. It's not that in the least...believe me.
The subject of barrel break-in pretty much splits the shooting world right down the middle. From what I have read (quite extensive reading on the internet)...
Thanks, guys...I still have to decide exactly how I will break the rifle in, but I will keep that process in mind. I definitely want this thing to be a seriously accurate shooter...
Well...after about 24 years of hunting with my Marlin 336 in .35 Rem...I think it's about time I moved into this century for a new hunting rig. And here is it...finally all put together (sorry for the picture quality):

Shiny BBQ guns...bah...LOL. Just give them to me...and I'll have them blued. :D
JWC...I still think you should change your screen name to 'BBQ'.
JWC knows it is in jest...his compilation of nickel Smiths is truly to be envied.
My 37 in the same holster is my hot weather carry gun. Otherwise, I carry a 386 Night Guard in custom RGrizzle leather. As long as I can wear a tank top under my outer shirt...the 386 is on my hip.
Couldn't agree with you more. Just like having a car that it never driven - if you don't at least shoot a gun, it's failing to perform its intended purpose. I have certain ones I carry (lightweights), but I love to shoot old Smiths.
Very nice collection you have there, BTW.
Nice! I am a blued fan myself. If pristine...the early S&W bluing is almost as shiny and beautiful as the nickel...only darker.
I love almost all S&W revolvers...I just gravitate towards blued ones. I do have have 2 stainless, though.
