I had an ablation in 1986 when I was in High school. Back in the 80s, it was open heart surgery. Much simpler and safer now. I also had a cardioversion two years ago for a different/new arrhythmia issue. That, with new meds, has held steady for two years, thankfully.
Interesting thread. It digressed quickly. I started keto 4 weeks ago and have lost 18 pounds. Blood sugar went from 220ish average to 120ish average in these 4 weeks (taking the same moderate dose of metformin before and after). I’m quite happy with the results so far—especially the blood sugar.
I’m only 50, but have numerous underlying conditions. I trust my cardiologist who says to take it after at least a year or two if there are no bad side effects. Until that time expires, I’m just bunkering down. But if it looks good in a couple years, I will take it.
