You want to get the proper/consistent cheek weld and you want the scope to be mounted to the right height for your eye with that proper cheek weld. If you have to raise your head or lower it once you have the proper cheek weld then your scope is either mounted too high or too low.

That is a good set but not of any use for an AR. If you remove the muzzle device so that the arbor will fit you will see over the top of it when looking through the scope. It is great for other type rifles. Bolt guns etc.
