Technically a bolt gun should be more accurate than an AR and a Single Shot more accurate than a bolt gun. Im not sure your average shooter would ever be able to tell the difference with quality guns on either end. It really comes down to what type of shooting you are going to do though...
Yes sir, the .22 match are at Creekside. Joe isn't running any of the matches at Creekside this year though. Adam Dyer took over that part of the fun. He runs some pretty good matches.

You should come out for the .22 long range precision stuff. Its a ton of fun.
Running CCI standard velocity .22lr out to 300 yards is no joke.

The swap is actually fairly easy to make. I just finished one myself, I ended up swapping it back because a group 1 lock is a pain in the ass to open.
