    Today is ANZAC Day.....

    Great post. One of the things that always impressed me when we lived in Australia was the fact that every little town had a memorial to their fallen servicemen. Dingo, Kingston bakery in Canberra has the best ANZAC biscuits I've ever had.

    Definitely not sweet and vanilla(ey). Not sure I detect a salty taste. Got to admit though, I've never been good at describing tastes, especially with wines and whiskeys. I just know I like it!

    Best one I've had lately is Palmetto Whiskey. Haven't found it in GA, but you can get it in SC. I paid 27.99 a bottle, and it is every bit as good as Basil Hayden and the rest. I've got 2 bottles left from my last trip to Beaufort SC. I'll pick up some more next month. It really is that good.

  14. Colonoscopy

    Just had my 3rd one yesterday. I'm 62. Appointment was at 1:30, so I was able to drink half of the noxious liquid the night before, and half yesterday morning. Seemed a little easier than having to drink it all the night before. Got to admit the "butt" humor in those facilities is a hoot.
