  1. Anyone move a family member to a memory care center?

I Just went through this with my Dad. About 4 years ago his dementia became bad enough he just wasn't safe any longer. He also became a danger to himself and to my mother. They were in FL, so I had to go get them and move them up here. Putting him in a memory care facility was one of the most...
  2. anyone a pilot? thinking of buying a plane...

Ive been around aviation my entire life. Ive earned a living first as a mechanic, then a pilot since 1992. Flying tends to attract individualists and "Type A" personalities. It can be extremely "Clicky" think, Honda tuner car VS old school muscle car owners. They both love cars, but think the...

What mags were you using Furious? My ASC mags from CCF worked fine. Just wondering since those were the only ones I tried.
  4. Anyone experienced with a 7.62x39 AR build?

I wouldn't call it a "build" but I pinned a SOTA upper with stainless barrel to a PSA lower with a heavy hammer spring, used ASC Mags and never had a problem. Sold it, but wish I hadn't! Lots of fun to shoot, no malfunctions, cheap ammo... I used the heavy hammer spring because I had read a...

Colt sold them both ways, the high polished ones are called "bright stainless" I believe they come from the custom shop. I like polished blue (royal blue) but with the stainless, I prefer the satin look.

  11. what is your favorite man toy (VEHICLE) other than your guns?

"Nice. I have always wanted to fly one of those, I hear they are a lot of fun. As long as I am dreaming though, I want the real deal. Supercharged 1600+ hp Merlin V-12, 450+mph, and able to cruise at 35,000ft. Hearing the scream of a supercharged P-51 in a dive is so beautiful you will cry...
  12. what is your favorite man toy (VEHICLE) other than your guns?

This was our RV-4. 180mph and fully aerobatic a real hot rod. By far my favorite airplane that Ive ever owned. Had to sell it a while back when the economy took a dump, but hope to be back into another one in the next few years.
  13. flying? what do we need to know?

Your airlines website will have a list of things you cannot carry on board or in checked bags. If at all possible, try not to check a bag. The airline can't loose/ steal it if it's in your control! My last piece of advice as a very frequent flyer, do not wear flip flops or flimsy sandals for...
