Have a seamstress fix the holes and any threading that needs fixing and hang it someplace special or give it to a current vet to pass it along...a vet will take care of it and help keep it preserved and maintained...
Sorry to hear about his passing...prayers for the utmost healing and serenity for you and your family...not all heroes wear capes and some arent immortal but in our hearts and minds, they will always live and be by our side!!!
if they dont want to give you what you want with your position walking in, get up and head for the door....guaranteed the sales guy will be chasing your tail to the door to keep you there....best of luck!
My kids have been raised around firearms since they were little and my youngest has had a firearm around him since he was born...hide them and they get curious...they know what our guns look like and they know they are meant to defend our home and our lives...my youngest which is 6 has his own...

or if you are the seller and make a verbal deal and someone else comes along before you meet, dont back out because that really pisses me off...like buying a gun and a month later seeing it on sale for $100 less and asking for the difference...its a deal, like a handshake to me, it's your word...
my father is a 30+ yr veteran LEO and still thinks most people, even the law abiding ones, dont need handguns or assault rifles...he asked me that the day i bought my first...some people never see the "other" side of the picture
had one exactly like that when they came out and wish i still had it...only got to put 1200 miles on it in 3 years before i had to sell it...miss my gixxer...stay safe and shiny side up
