Gevalia is my favorite store-bought. Recently stopped at Ellions in Rockmart, coming back from Brushy Branch. Their house coffee is the best I`ve ever tasted. They have one in Dallas, also. Been there. I don`t think you can buy it in the stores to brew yourself. I``m not interested in roasting...
I have Oticon from VA. They amplify fine but they don`t clarify very well. I have severe hearing loss. Not surprised. Flew non-pressurized aircraft, shot guns, ran chainsaws, worked on acft without hearing protection, on and on.
We have a Clearwater septic system. Two pumps and an aerator motor, which has been running non-stop for 27 years, except for a few power outages. It has 4 tanks, turns sewage ino graywater, pumps it under the back yard. I have replaced one pump and one circuit board. I clean a filter every six...
I don`t keep my phone on all the time. I don`t always keep it with me. During hunting season I go out of town a lot, for several days. I don`t miss the laptop one bit. This is the only social media I use except for the Allatoona fishing report on wife`s FB. I can do without this site, also, even...
Anybody remember the little announcer, Jimmy Mosteller, who walked around interviewing fans before the races at Dixie and Rome? I had a book about him. He went way back in racing. Before he passed away, he was absent for a few weeks(illness), then returned to Dixie. I told him that "It ain`t the...
They had 3 or 4 races at Rome last year. Glad to see it reopen. Good folks there. Every time I go I want to get back in a car, but I`m almost 78. I ran on some dirt tracks in NC in the late 60s. Guess I`ll be off my diet on Saturday nights starting April 6. Hot dogs, corn dogs........
You can hunt Paulding Forest all day for small game and probably will never see anyone. Squirrel hunting is very good there. Late evening is the best this time of year, especially the warmer days.
Think about those guys in the snow picture. Those leather combat boots will give you wet socks, wet feet within an hour or so walking in snow. They had no dry feet for weeks or months. They slept in the snow, rolled in ponchos, or whatever. The great generation.
Top pic looks like a lifted version of the Toyotas used in Africa by hunters, ranchers. With deisels. They don`t or won`t sell them over here for some reason.
Thanks, got it. Several weeks back I used the GA DNR app for something and got a pop-up telling me to update the app. Never again. I did as they said and messed my phone up so bad that it took two trips to Verizon just to get it usable. Verizon made the update, so the airdrop was activated...
