Thanks guys. Just hoping I can do better this year. Looking to bust 12 pounds. I've never personally seen one that large and would love to drag one in.
No. The worst part is they drained this lake late last year. The damn was mom longer to code so they drained it and pulled all the fish. I went through a major depression. Lol
I believe I have some in a different color?!?
Either way, this lake is loaded but they are mostly in the 1-5lb range. I hooked a large one a few weeks back and he pulled my treble hook off my crank bait. So this time I went out with a chartreuse double blade spinner bait and low and behold...
Caught this guy here in Gwinnett county last night on a spinner bait. 10lbs, 22" long large mouth. Just thought I would share for all the other fishing enthusiasts to enjoy.

I would also try a pumpkin centepede rigged wacky worm with a blood red hook. You should have something on the line with any of these variations. If not, I'm afraid to say the other answer might not be the one your looking for....
Right now is a tough time honestly. My lake, they're bedding so I'm not catching many either. Look for some bare areas viable from shore, usually near a downed tree or log.
It's hard to advise how to fish not knowing the size or structure of you're pond.
