My boy hammering the bluegill up on Crooked Creek at Sinclair. His first fish with an open face reel (Ugly Stick GX2 Ultra Light).
My first fish from a kayak. No monster but at least I didn't get skunked.
Here is a picture of the water in question. On the left u can see the road that runs right along the small lake. The small lake shows it is owned by Clearwater Lake Inc. (assuming HOA).
How do you know what is truly private? I have a small lake near me that runs along a public road. I'd love to take my son kayaking & fishing there but don't want to be trespassing.
Caught this little guy in our 1 acre neighborhood pond. Had seen some action down in the shaded area of the pond that has a bunch of plants. The bass are small here so I threw a 2" straight tail shad on a 1/16 jig head. On first retrieve a small bass attacked the jig and missed. I cast it again...
I just tried 1 of 2 Wal-Mart's near me. They had 20+ of these but still wanted $50 a piece. Was hoping to pick up a couple for our neighborhood pond and for teaching my 7 yr. Old to use a spinning reel.
2001 Chaparral Sunesta we bought last spring. Boat is awesome with having 3 kids and usually having extra people with us. Eventually I would like to add a small fishing boat. I'm thinking a used bass tracker.
