    Lanier is where I will primarily fish, mostly the southern half of the lake. I have been putting in at the Old Federal boat ramp. I am just getting started with large lake fishing on a boat now that I am retired. My previous fishing experience was on small farm ponds growing up.

    One of the reasons I am planning to purchase a Garmin is their maps are very detailed with 1’ contours. One thing you quickly discover as you shop is that no matter the source, retailer or online store, everybody have the same price. Hard to find a deal off full MSRP.

    Thanks for sharing. I recently got my lifetime GA Sportsman License and am getting back into fishing after many years. Perhaps ODT needs to add a fishing sub-forum.
