    Lews for spinner and abu Garcia for baitcaster. Check cabelas or bass pro and look for things on sale. I got a crazy deal on a lews combo. Reel was normally $99 and Rod was $150, got it as a combo thing they had for about $129. Best Rod I’ve ever had.

    I’ve got a 21.5’ chaparral ski/fish with the Yamaha outboard. Handles way better than a deep v. I originally was going to buy a robalo cc deep v. After demoing both back to back, I went with the chap. Rode 100xs better.

    Newer boats and engines are made a lot better than older ones. An outboard is your best bet. Inboards are a Royal pita. I prefer Yamaha outboards. Made for salt and if run in fresh should last forever.

    I’m definitely open to a guide. I want to put my kids on some fish. Toona is the closest and easiest to get to for me. I’d love for it to produce something. I know Lanier is better, but it has its challenges too. Lanier reminds me of driving on 285. Complete mad house.

    Bass mostly. Would love to get into fishing for stripers or catfish. Don’t know how to fish for those. Never grew up bass fishing. Grew up on salt water.

    Exactly. It’s a shame. Caught some small ones by the shore bank fishing. Caught a couple spots here and there. Only one big one.

    Spent most of the summer before last fishing out there. Only caught a handful of fish all summer. Boat fishing. This past summer, we didn’t fish out there but only once. Family just didn’t want to bother. Reading and trying everything. Anyone have any luck out there?
