I have one on mine but it does not spook deer at all. The light only makes the fiber optic pins glow.
You are correct for the most part but when you shoot .019 pins and you're in the deep woods, even at high
noon with certain weather conditions, you wont be able to see your pins. It all depends...
I've had these folks do several dozen for me. http://www.yeoldearcheryshoppe.com/
You can always go to most any local archery shop and they will sell and cut them for you.
I switched to them this year over Thunderheads. They do fly straight and they do alot of damage.
However, they do NOT always open. I've shot several deer with them and they will always open eventually
but twice the entrance hole was simply that, a small hole the diameter of the head unopened...
Well in the world of crossbows I don't know all that much.
Recurve vs compound in a crossbow is a hard choice. I have several friends
who hunt with crossbows and all but one use recurves. All of them claim they
like the simplicity. The only con I can see is that recurve is going to be
larger...
Welcome to the trader!
You need to take it to a bow shop that can tune it for you. If your hitting high/low your nock point is off.
If your hitting left/right, your rest is setup wrong. The best thing you could do is take it to somebody who
knows how to tune properly.
The only advice I can give is to get the best arrow you can afford. Accuracy in bowhunting
is everything and a cheap arrow usually doesn't make it.
I personally use radial X-Weave Pro but I have shot Gold Tip and they are great. Most
arrow manufacturers have good arrows but pay attention to the...
I shoot mine at 4' away. You want to be close and you have to make sure that
the arrow has completely left the bow and is untouched. Too far and the arrow may
have corrected some of whats wrong during it's flight. Thats why I stay at 4'
This website gives you a basic breakdown of what needs to...
To me paper tuning is essential, not an option. It is easy to do, doesn't take that long
and you are positive your arrow is flying straight when you're done. I have a paper tuning
rack that I built and bought several rolls of newspaper to use but you can go as simple
as taping paper over the...
You need to try a few others before you buy one. Mathews are great but so is the rest of them.
Find one that works best for you and don't worry about the name on it. Martin makes some nice
bows so if you like it and are comfortable with it, buy it.
The very best thing you can do to a bow is paper tune it.
I spend alot of time tuning mine before I ever shoot the first arrow at a target.
Just as an experiment. Shoot one of your arrows with a field point on it through paper
and see what the hole looks like. That will tell you all you need to...
Any of the newer bows are good. I am partial to Mathews and Hoyt.
There are so many good choices it is hard to pin one down. Just shoot
as many as you can before you buy one.
