    What he said.... A search on EBay or Gunbroker type sites might help also. I picked up a synthetic abolt stock for $15 + shipping on EBay this year. You may be able to just keep the wood stock pristine.

    i've got a soft side case that my son gave me. He found it in a house that he was working on. Even after washing it has a perfect rust print of a 1911 in the cloth.

    oil it and don't worry about it. Cost.....nothing if you have oil in the shop
