Best way to fix this revolver?

ODT gunsmiths, what is the best way to install this cylinder stop? The hole is not small enough for me to punch this in. It will fall out. Do I slightly crimp the stem or use glue or????

Knurl it with punch maybe?

Loctite does make a product for just that application. I think it is called stud and bearing lock, or similar.

Normally when fitting a part, you modify the cheaper of the 2 pieces, but if that stud is hardened steel, not likely to work that way.

Worth a try, they make gap filling versions. No harm if it doesnt work. Just how loose is it ? Can you measure ? Looks like a simple piece to make.

Mark it up and cell it on here. LNITB,tack driver,must cum to me or trade heavy in my favor or it will go back in the safe in 72 hours.

Center punch the nipple, the part that goes in the hole. I sure you can swell it enough to get it to fit

I agree. Go from the other side inside the frame and peen the stud while backing the part up so it seats and swells to prevent movement.

I would heat it and try to set it like a rivet with a punch
