I tightened the screw on the grip so I can take pics to sell but when trying to take the screw off it won't screw off. The brass part I where circled turns also when trying to unscrew it. The left grip is free so I could Dremel or saw off the screw to free it, but I'd rather save the right grip...
Thanks for the suggestions on the acetone and wire brush. Ain't take all of it, but did the job. Ain't gonna risk cutting up my hands with a utility knife over some miniscule ****.
Tried soaking rubbing alcohol for about 30 minutes or so with not much luck trying to scrape it off. All the videos online I saw where for red loctite. What am I missing here?
I've been pounding the sight with a brass punch and a hammer for like a good 20 some minutes even used a heat gun for a little bit, and it won't move farther then I got it.
They're the sights that came off that I'm putting back on, but I'm having real trouble, and don't think pounding it any...
I think I drove it in the wrong direction I went right to left... nylon still ain't cutting it though. Just bought a $35 8 piece brass grace usa punch set online, another vice would be better too.
It's expensive as hell feeding a gun addiction
Normally I would just push out the sights with the sight pusher, but with suppressor sights, and big ass guide rod port on the slide that's not happening. I bought a nylon punch so I don't scratch the metal, but after about 10 minutes of pounding I only got it about 2mm or so.
Can anybody tell...
My last one was cheap and peices broke on me, looking for one with many calibers, and hopefully not too expensive, but I'm not afraid to drop money on a high quality set if it's worth it.
