  1. Kahr Repair?

Well, finally remembered to bring it with me this weekend and tried out the extractor mods. Getting that back slide plate off was a bitch. Anyway, that did the trick. I just ran a box of Fiocchi through it without a single hiccup. Will have to bring some other brands of ammo next week but...
  2. Kahr Repair?

Looks like just what I need. Thanks much.
  3. Kahr Repair?

Very good thread/reading. I will definitely have to give that a try next weekend before I send it back. I know Fiocchi is one of the ammo brands I was using but I was having the same problem with anything I tried. The problem does sound like it could still be the extractor though as indicated...
  4. Kahr Repair?

I had checked all surfaces carefully and couldn't find any burrs or poorly milled sections. Have spent a lot of time working the slide thinking that may be it but it appears to be nice and smooth. Thanks for the suggestion.
  5. Kahr Repair?

I have sat on the couch and racked the slide until I have blisters. Haven't been able to get 200 rounds through it. Literally every round jambs in one way or another and about half are so bad the mag won't release and I struggle for 10 minutes or more just getting the slide open and the jamb...
  6. Kahr Repair?

No, hadn't thought about that. I'm not sure previous owner did more than try a few shots and find it was jamming and then moved on. I'll look into a new spring and see what Kahr has to say. Thanks for the suggestion.
  7. Kahr Repair?

Thanks everyone for the feedback. Like I said, I've just got to find some time this week to call them. Was just wondering what to expect or what some of you have run in to. Thanks
  8. Kahr Repair?

Yeah, does it even with only one in the mags. I've got a Para Ordnance 9mm warthog that won't run if the mags have that final round in... Thanks
  9. Kahr Repair?

    Were you the original owner?
  10. Kahr Repair?

Have any of you had any experience with Kahr and having them do repair or warranty work? I'm going to try and find some time to call them this week but was wondering what to expect. I picked up a Kahr P380 here in trade a couple years ago and the damn thing hasn't once been able to fire two...
  11. Remove ball and powder from hawkin rifle

The screw for the end of the ram rod is going to be the cheapest way to go and easiest to find local. I use the compressed air method on a regular basis. Great for the end of a hunt where you didn't shoot. Allows you to unload without having to follow-up with a thorough warm water bath...
  12. BLO under shellac

It probably would not be very durable because shellac is soluble with alcohol and very susceptible to other cleaning solutions. It would however make touch-up and refinishing very easy...
