    My son has a Bersa Thunder 380 pistol. He has somehow lost the Rear Sight. It is held on by what I think is an adjustment screw. Has had the gun for a long time. Apparently from what I have read it seems to be a common problem and is turning out to be a unicorn search. Anybody got one or a lead...

    Success!! Combination soaking it, then I put it in the freezer for a short time, then heat. Was still hard but finally came loose. Thanks for all the info. Jim

    I let it soak overnight and will get back at it later this afternoon. Thanks everybody. No gunsmiths in my neck of the woods. May have to find one.

    Yeah, figured that out. However, it still is stuck. It is weird however. I have one on a 43x that is not OEM and is RH thread.

    Matching serial number to the slide, so I assume it is a factory threaded barrel.

    Last time I had a problem like that I froze the whole thing and then lightly heated the stuck collar/nut. Interesting. Not sure I want to freeze the whole slide however.

    I have a welder. May have to try that, but I really do not want to ruin the slide. I will sacrifice the barrel first. Thanks.

    Tried master blaster. May try something else.

    Placed in vice as best I could. Propane torch on protector only. Correct. Actually tried to move it both ways.

    I sold my takedown but every mag I used with it worked fine.
