Getting hold if this next week and want to put a cheapo swivel stud bipod on it. Can anyone tell me if the current swivel is just screwed in, (wood screw type thread ?), if so where I can get just a stud to replace it ?
Thanks
Have you looked at a parts diagram just to check something internal isn't missing or broken ?
Have you determined what is holding the bolt back? Is it the hold open or is it jamming against something else.
I wish I got somewhere near you !
Thanks for the input everyone.
Really trying to find out if I can expect a 2015 Target model to really have a better trigger than stock. The manual hints at it, but I've no idea how good it is yet.
The BX is significantly cheaper than any of the name brand...
I've ended up the, somewhat surprised, owner of a 2015 10/22 target, (note bidding while drinking is not the wisest strategy).
Does anyone know if that era's Target model, (laminate stock, bull barrel), trigger is the same as all the others, or was it any better ?
Thinking a cheap upgrade...
I've been asked by a friend to clean her deceased husband's rifles, (SMLE, FAL, AK47). Fairly certain they were put up around 10 years ago after being fired with corrosive surplus ammo, (he shot a lot of surplus stuff and wasn't much into cleaning).
Anticipating the bores may be pretty rough...
I've seen some easyouts small enough. Lube it up well and try using a drill bit by hand. Turn either way, but if the hole goes through the frame you may be able to just screw it in so it drops out the other side.
From what I read a model 19-5 extractor rod will have a lh thread, no exceptions ?
Can anyone recommend a good source for a blued one for a 4" barrel ?
