  1. Pin & Weld Services N Georgia?

Do you remove pin and welded muzzle devices to p&w a different one on?
  2. Safe interior question

It's a tan-ish color. I wanted the dark grey but didn't like the rifle side to be closed, so I went with the tan and the rifle barrel holders are open, I can add more rifles that way and not take a chance in scratching them when I pull them out
  3. Safe interior question

It's a crappy color and I like the feel of something softer. But I guess you're right, for now I'll fill it up.
  4. Safe interior question

I got a safe last night, I hate the interior color, can anyone tell me what the black edge protector thats on the edges called or where to get them? I'm also going to recarpet the entire inside to a dark grey as well. Attached is an image of the black edge stuff I'm looking for.
  5. Groves in 223 cases

And that's what it's suppose to look like?
  6. Groves in 223 cases

I do have a bore scope I can stick in there. I'll post pictures tonight when I get home as to what I find.
  7. Groves in 223 cases

Someone else recommended getting a polishing reamer for this caliber. Worse case I mess the barrel up, at this point I'm not going to shoot it so it'll be a tomato stake. I'll order the polisher of the Amazon, they are 47.99, I've already ordered another barrel and as another gentleman said I'll...
  8. Groves in 223 cases

The barrel is labeled 5.56, I'll measure the chamber to make sure.
  9. Groves in 223 cases

I do have head space guages, I can check then before I take it apart. I have spacers to add if it's out of tolerance. But would headspacing cause the groves?
  10. Groves in 223 cases

Yes, I shot some of my loads through it and it did the same thing. Destroyed the brass. I'll take it apart tonight and see if I can get a bore scope in there, in the mean time I'll order another barrel. I've been happy with ballistic advantage barrels so far.
  11. Groves in 223 cases

Correct, I don't think it has anything to do with the ammo, the issue is in the chamber. The feed ramps are extremely sharp, when I load a live round and eject it slowly there's no grooves in the brass but it cuts the projectiles up. I might take the barrel to a gun smith ans see if they can...
  12. Groves in 223 cases

I just changed the stripped upper to an aero upper, same barrel. I was thinking the barrel as well.
  13. Groves in 223 cases

Oh and I tried many different mags, pmag gen 2 and 3, mtm, Troy, no metal mags were tried in the destruction of this brass.
  14. Groves in 223 cases

I have a fairly new barrel, has had a few rounds through it. Not many, never had an issue with it. I keep my mags loaded like every good Samaritan should. Back up a little, it's a novekse barrel 1:7 twist 16", I've had it for many years on a build I never shoot but a couple times to test fire...
