It's a tan-ish color. I wanted the dark grey but didn't like the rifle side to be closed, so I went with the tan and the rifle barrel holders are open, I can add more rifles that way and not take a chance in scratching them when I pull them out
I got a safe last night, I hate the interior color, can anyone tell me what the black edge protector thats on the edges called or where to get them? I'm also going to recarpet the entire inside to a dark grey as well. Attached is an image of the black edge stuff I'm looking for.
Someone else recommended getting a polishing reamer for this caliber. Worse case I mess the barrel up, at this point I'm not going to shoot it so it'll be a tomato stake. I'll order the polisher of the Amazon, they are 47.99, I've already ordered another barrel and as another gentleman said I'll...
I do have head space guages, I can check then before I take it apart. I have spacers to add if it's out of tolerance. But would headspacing cause the groves?
Yes, I shot some of my loads through it and it did the same thing. Destroyed the brass. I'll take it apart tonight and see if I can get a bore scope in there, in the mean time I'll order another barrel. I've been happy with ballistic advantage barrels so far.
Correct, I don't think it has anything to do with the ammo, the issue is in the chamber. The feed ramps are extremely sharp, when I load a live round and eject it slowly there's no grooves in the brass but it cuts the projectiles up. I might take the barrel to a gun smith ans see if they can...
I have a fairly new barrel, has had a few rounds through it. Not many, never had an issue with it.
I keep my mags loaded like every good Samaritan should. Back up a little, it's a novekse barrel 1:7 twist 16", I've had it for many years on a build I never shoot but a couple times to test fire...
