    If it's JJ, it will usually be on the 'foot' of the charger bridge, and pretty small. I only ask, as for some reason JJ workers assembling parts rifles always seemed to put them on backwards.

    Check with Deerfield gun shop in Marietta. That's where I go for all my hard to find parts. If the stock is a matching one, might be worth having a little wood work done.

    If you have the part that broke off, it can be repaired. If you dont, a new stock might be in order here.

    It wouldn't be a Lithgow No4, as they never manufactured that rifle. Lithgow stuck with the No1 all the way up to 1953.
