Regarding the lower only:
I assembled my last lower with nothing more than set of pliers, rubber mallet and a monkey wrench to do the "pin trick".
Granted I didnt have a vice so my local shop threw it on theirs and tightened the castle nut for me. Gave the guy a nice box of ammo as a tip...
I had a Glock 34 that would do that...thankfully I caught it before a round when off.
zev had no clue, sent it back under warranty and they replaced it for me....no issue w/ the new and a few hundred down the tube.
Not much help, I know, but send it back and let them deal with it.
