Mitch Warbell lived in Powder Springs, had a training camp there. I have always head that hi designed the Mac, don't know for sure, but it was a common thing to drive his place and hear auto fire.
Got my Red Rider when I was 8, wondered what would happen if the trigger was pulled with the cocking lever down...........Sure did hurt little cold fingers. A life lesson learned, safety first!!!!!!!!!!
I bought one used in 1966,still have it. Have had one rnd that barely cleared th muzzle, (rem) and one misfire (cci), no ftf or ftes'. Still my favorite to shoot, but the 10/22 pushes it a bit. I've heard folks on here lament cleanning them, SO many springs, if you are taking the whole rec...
