Got mine today too. Gonna put my tactical solutions barrel on it. Magpul hunter stock. Wondering what bolt will work best in it.

According to the knowledgeable folks on rimfire central, a Ruger, JWH, Volquartsen or Kidd bolt will all work in these. One they have found that doesn’t is the Power Custom bolt. I’m going to use a JWH competition bolt with a BX trigger group (it’s now 1.5 lb pull weight, that’s a pound lighter than it came from the factory). Still debating on a barrel.

I have become a fan of JWH bolts and Kidd triggers. Wow Poppa Mike you tweaked the BX to 1.5#.. Nice.

Like I said, out of the box it was 2.5 pounds. All I did was some very careful polishing of the hammer and sear and it dropped it about a pound. The folks on rimfire central state that Brimstone gets them well below a pound. Great for a bench gun, but I want one that I can still use to hunt with too.

Feddersen or Kidd barrel FTW. Probably a slight nod for accuracy with the Feddersen, but Kidd knows what they are doing as well, and they provide some nice, lightweight options that shoot lights out

My McGowan barrels will out perform the KIDD just about every day of the week. They're a little longer wait, but you get the EXACT length and finish you want and they are super nice to deal with. Great company, great products. I have both Charger and 10/22 and they both perform the same. Never a feeding issue and easy break-in routine. The finish on both the blue and SS is superb, and their muzzle brake is bad-azz and actually makes a noticeable difference. Threads are precise and true and very well cut.

Did I mention that I'm a fan of McGowen?

You guys make me sick. My next barrel is the FJF or Fedderson ''polygonal'' barrel. Been readin some great reviews on it. Any input from those who have or shot with one?
