10/22 Takedown Scope Won't Fit In Bag

So I just bought a 10/22 Takedown on Friday and this morning I bought a vortex crossfire 2 3x9x40. I got it all mounted beautifully and went to put it back in the bag and of course it's too long now to fit. My question is since I used the vortex rings and they have the thumb screws to tighten them onto the rail will, it hurt my zero by taking it off each time and then remounting it in the same spot when I want to use it? I wouldn't do this with a center fire rifle just curious since it's a .22 if it will be okay to do.

I gave up and put a red dot on mine... Now it fits in the bag....

Probably won't affect zero anymore than it being a takedown will.

Get a set of UTG quick disconnect rings from Amazon. That's what I put on mine and they work well. Medium rise is what you need.

Yeah I'll have to look into those. I'll just take the rings back.

or sell the scope and put a 2x7x33 leupold or redfield on it. Then it will fit

But I like the bag that it came with. It's pretty nice. I'm gonna try the taking the scope off and on and I'd doesn't work I'll get a smaller scope.
