ever find a drop of blood?
None at all. I heard the arrow hit and made a loud noise like it hit bone. I still have no clue how big that deer was. I saw a nice rack and went for the shot while I had the chance. This is gonna be on my mind for a while if I don't find it within the next few days. I won't be able to hunt again until Wednesday morning which stinks.
Some deer get hit in the shoulder and the broadheads lodges in the scapula. Hopefully this is the case since there was no recovery. Keep a watch over the area for buzzards.
Didn't see a thing on both the morning and evening hunt. However, I did find two deer on the thermal walking out tonight. A doe and a buck in different areas of the property. Got eye shine from my flash light and then was able to verify them. The buck was a big bodied animal. Oh well, another chance next week.
Unfortunately my wife got one in Fayette county today.
