10-31 hunt

I saw 3 little bucks, spike, 4pt, and a 3 that stayed around about 15 minutes eating acorns. The 3pt got within 5 yards of me and kept looking back into the woods. Nothing ever showed up from where he was looking. None of the deer were chasing and just eating white oak acorns. Getting close for them to start running the does.

I got hoodwinked today. I was using a can call and had a deer answer back. This went on for a good 1/2 hour, but it didn't come out. I got out of the woods at 10:15, and at 10.45 this one showed up.

Check out the scars on this deer's back. Looks like one of his antlers broke off too.

If they answer back, don't make a sound and watch the downwind side for them scent checking. If you answer back, they know exactly where you are and avoid you. Can call can be fun when it is the right time and the are running like dogs in the woods.

I just got back in, didm’t see a damn thing but my wife saw a large buck in our driveway last night when she got home half hour after dark! I was in a stand close to where she saw him but no luck 🙁

Hunt from home, that's what I'm talkin about!!

Sitting in a box stand wind is all wrong for anything else. The wind hitting me in the facein this one. Never stuck a camera up on this one… they have cleaned me out of house and home with the corn they have eaten here….

I've never had any of that stuff work for me including scent. They see me before I see them. I slip in as quiet and fast as I can and wait for one to make a mistake. Has worked for me a very long time
