What part of what you have been bragging about is Capitalism?

Wait, let me guess.... "Buying low and selling high" .... right?

You have been bragging about making "thousands" off of ODT forum members ...... interesting.... While I could care less about the IRS details or whether or not you purchased said items from your employer at TruePrep, I do wonder though, why do you feel that it is necessary to point out, by posting in your previous fashion, as to how you have made substantial amounts of money from ODT members??

What is the purpose??

For one, very little money was made here.
But, It simply boils down to this.

I never forced anyone to buy what I sold. I never took advantage of anyone, I took advantage of the free market our country is so well known for.

The only people that complain are those who were never prepared in the first place.

I think we have strayed far enough away from the topic of this thread and I have no desire to make the mods job any harder. Feel free to shoot me a PM if you wish.

Pretty simple.....

Many.

For one I hope it will encourage others to stock up. The more people that stock up, the less damage a panic will do. In addition, it will provide many people here the opportunity to make some serious cash in the future.

We all know another panic will be here, wether it be in 6 months or 5 years. No sense in not looking at it as a business opportunity and an opportunity for financial gain. My sales allowed me to continue you shooting as much or more than I did before the panic. Can't beat that.

Also, I'm proud of it. Sure I might be prideful, but this is a gun forum, who isn't?

Lastly, I enjoy a good laugh especially when it comes to people from the freedom loving gun community who are so quick to stand up for freedom (rightly so), but so quick to condemn many of the principles our county was founded on. Such as a free market and Capatilism. No one can argue against what I did and say they believe in capitalism or a free market. I never forced anyone to buy a thing I sold. I had something they wanted, and they were willing to pay.

Based upon your beliefs I don't see how you ever go shopping or buy anything in general. Lets look at the evil gas stations who make a profit on gas, or the Publix down the road who, shocker, sells EVERY product in the store for, another shocker, MORE than what they paid for it.

I think wtturn put it in a great way. Your complaining about "flippers" and "gougers" proves to me that you are incompetent when it comes to economics and that you even have some fairly Marxist beliefs. Heck, I've taken one economics class in high school and I learned enough to know that a company won't succeed with out profit.

I even see you support GCO and the NRA. Both great organizations that I am also a member of. But I have to mention, your support of the 2nd amendment (while excellent) and lack of support for the 10th makes you no different then the anti-gun fools that support the 1st, but not the 2nd.

I do have to ask how you manage to support your self and even a family with such a lack of the basic concepts of economics?

Your missing the point. Making money isn't the problem. But dot act like we all should like you for peddling your ammo for high prices here. You have the right to sell for whatever you want. But we also have the right to dislike you for it. You are not the type person that made this community great even if you do give try and make up for it now.

Furthermore, and I do hope the owners of truprep see this, I will never spend another dime in one of their stores because I won't support a business that employs pretentious people like yourself. I can get things online cheaper but support local stores because I enjoy talking to the staff and browsing. But if you are the staff then I will not darken trupreps door ever again.

You are using false assumptions to make your point; For example, I, and many other that I know, have no need for anything that people of your predatory nature intend to supply, however, apparently we are not able to speak our minds without being labeled as "unprepared". Nothing new here .... those questioned regarding sleazy tactics often resort to assumptions.

I have no idea what this paragraph was meant to convey, but I'll take a stab at it: I gather you feel that our hobby is a business opportunity and you are glad you can continue shooting based upon your previously obtuse comments .... yet, no mention was made of this previously, just blatant bragging about the "thousands" you made from the ODT community ....... good save .... or attempt at such

Do you also have "A good laugh" when reminiscing upon the thousands of dollars (as mentioned in other threads) made from the aforementioned community? You are posting give-aways for what reason? Do you feel bad for the thousands that you made, or do you feel you are just giving back to the same "community" that funded you from the get-go?

While gas, food and water are not my hobby, even if they were, I would still not prey upon people and tout the flag of capitalism to somehow try to distract from the true nature of my sleazy intent. You fail to realize that you have come to a site that includes many hobbyists, of which, many will have negative opinions of what you are bragging about, so, take this into consideration and don't get all upset when some of us voice our opinions.

Great, and I support you in your college endeavour to learn all you can about economics, however, this is not an economics forum ..... it is predominantly a "firearms forum", and as mentioned previously, you will run into the occasional firearms hobbyist, such as myself, who will speak his mind, regardless of what Econ101 class you want to quote in your defense.

Actually, I live in a van, down by the river and just post to the ODT from my Obama phone because I was simply "unprepared" for the recovering firearms market and live off of the tax-payers ....... don't worry, you'll understand one day ..... perhaps when you exceed the age of 22

You don't seem to understand that some of us are not questioning the profit margin, we are simply speaking our minds regarding the wolves in sheep's clothing.

Pretty simple.....

Because it is his god given right. If He wants to brag about how much money He made last year that is his business. If that bothers a person like you so much maybe you need to look in the mirror and figure out what is it that would make someone like you call him childish then do something to prove your childishness and write letters, etc.

Now why are YOU so concerned with what HE does with HIS PROPERTY? Now that is simple.
