About to head down for a morning sit in the white oaks. No one has hunted the property in about a week, so things should have settled back down. I've been letting does walk, might be their turn if I see a big nanny doe today.

Anyone else getting into the woods today? Be safe and enjoy the mild weather.

WHOA! it's 28* warmer than yesterday
the bottom dropped out at 0630 and it's still coming down
I do not have any cover at my stands just a metal ladder seat chained to a tree
when I get old I just may get more elaborate with my set-ups

Nice and clear down in Meriwether. Wind was about 3-5mph when I got into my stand. When I left, the leaves were coming down and going a long way in the wind. Even the squirrels stopped playing. No shots and the coolers were quiet when I drove past. I may not go back in the woods until end of first week in Dec. May see if there is anything for a 2nd rut.
