11-5 Hunt

I haven't seen them in years down on the property. I think the yotes cleaned them out as no one hunts them. Last time I heard them in the woods, sounding like something tossing frozen chickens out of the trees when they came down. They also sound like a group of kindergarteners walking in the leaves. However, there is always that one watching you and waiting to sound the alarm.

I saw a $1000 deer about 4:15 this afternoon chasing a doe. That's processing and getting a mount. He was a stud. I saw him for 4 steps on the trail and didn't have a shot. Saw 2 does and another 4pt on the same hunt.
You get him got put in the time

Since I'm retired, I have put in a lot of hunting time this year. I've already taken 3 does, so only hunting for QDM deer now. Still beats a good day at work. I was actually surprised we had a nice buck on the property as we haven't seen any rubs and most of the scrapes have smaller hoof prints in them. Since he was chasing a doe, no telling how far he has traveled.

I always thought they sound like a helicopter flying

I had a buck that I believe was a good 10 point come through the property I believe on Sunday. He was trotting the property like a hound dog with his nose to the ground 90% of the time. I say he covered over 4+ acres in about 5 minutes

That’s on top of I think two different 8 points that I believe are brothers and a spike I have been watching and waiting on the right moment to take them. One of the 8’a has left a nice scrape within sight of the stand

Put my buddy on this guy this evening. He's happy with it. It's a good deer. Been seeing these double brow tines alot on this property. Most be in the gene pool in this area.
